Salivary Gland

Mr Haq provides the full range of options for benign salivary gland disease.  He puts an emphasis on gland preserver sing surgery where possible, using minimal access techniques and conservative strategies to treat the disease in a targeted and effective manner.

Salivary conditions treated include:
  • Recurrent pain and swelling with eating and drinking
  • Salivary gland infections
  • Salivary stone (calculi)
  • Benign salivary lumps such as pleomorphic adenoma and Warthins tumours
  • Salivary duct strictures and blockages
  • Ranulas

Techniques used by Mr Haq:
  • Parotid lump - extra-capsular dissection - with live nerve monitoring
  • Superficial parotidectomy (partial and total)
  • Submandibular and sublingual gland removal 
  • Stone removal - open, surgical and non surgical including basket retrieval and endoscopic assisted
  • Salivary gland washouts
  • Stricture dilatation (stretching)
  • Ranula suture ligation (stitching) - gland preserving
