Paediatric Maxillofacial Surgery

Mr Haq is a lead consultant in paediatric maxillofacial surgery at his London Teaching Hospital base.  He adopts a caring and considered approach to all of his patients offering evidence based solutions in safe and appropriate environments.  He has a regular paediatric general anaesthetic list at St George's hospital, and can also offer sedation and local options for treatment. 


Commons paediatric maxillofacial conditions include:

Exposure and bonding of abnormally positioned adult teeth with gold chains for orthodontic alignment
Removal of decayed or buried/impacted teeth
Removal of benign jaw cysts and tumours 
Excision of skin lumps, bumps and lesions
Excision of dermoid cysts - nasal/orbital/intra-cranial
Dental and facial trauma
Jaw surgery for abnormal growth including distraction osteogenesis
Salivary gland swellings - ranulas, mucocele, submandibular gland stones
