Orthognathic Surgery

Orthos – straight
Gnathos – jaws
Orthognathic or jaw realignment surgery is performed to move the upper, lower or both jaws in order to balance the facial profile and achieve an optimal functional and cometic dental bite.

The treatment is often combined with orthodontic braces which position the teeth before and after the surgery.  Mr Haq works with a small number of Consultant Orthodontists who are highly trained in preparing teeth and bite to ensure the best and most stable results are achieved.

Mr Haq uses the latest techniques in surgical planning including 3D CBCT scanning, facial skin surface mapping, custom printed titanium fixation plates and face change contour predictions
